The very first thing that ought to be mentioned in this movie review is that it seems that Garry Marshall is attempting to break an unheard of record that he had set in Valentine's Day, by packing New Year's Eve with a number of A-list and B-list actors and actresses. The result is that all these personas are a part of a multi-threaded film, which intertwines the lives of a very large group of people, as they try to figure out the resolutions that they are setting for the New Year. The movie is meant to take you on a ride of laughter, some tears, romance and even more laughter.

The official release date of New Year's Eve is set for December 9, 2011, and the cast includes stars such as: Seth Meyers, Bon Jovi, Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges, Sofia Vergara, Sienna Miller, Abigail Breslin, Zac Efron, Katherine Heigl, Jessica Biel, Josh Duhamel, Lea Michele, Halle Berry, Hilary Swank, Michelle Pfeiffer, Ashton Kutcher, Sarah Jessica Parker and Robert de Niro.

Let us now take a closer look at New Year's Eve in this movie review. On the final day of the year, there are twenty-four New Yorkers that find themselves searching for someone who they can spend the final moments of 2011 with. You will see the story of each of the characters being intertwined as they are searching for resolutions, happiness and love.

The storyline of New Year's Eve includes couples, as well as singles who are examining their romances and general lives, on the final day of the year when relatives and friends are coming together to look back on the year that has passed, and look forward to the future. The movie's trailer shows us that the movie is meant to celebrate hope, love, second chances forgiveness and fresh starts, as the stories of all the characters intertwine in New York on one of the most special nights of the year. Because of the size of the cast, you can expect that many of them will only make brief appearances; however, it is believed that New Year's Eve will be just as successful as Valentine's Day.
