Inception was released in the summer of 2010. It came out as a very popular film making a shocking $62 million on its opening weekend. It now has a total domestic gross of $292 million and a worldwide gross of $825 million. It was also directed by Christoper Nolan, a very established and well known director due to his success in Batman Begins and the Dark Knight. Overall I think he did a fantastic job with the film so lets dig a little deeper.

To begin, the idea behind the movie may not be the most original story as some people say but I think it was very interesting and catchy nonetheless. The concept of a dream within a dream was a mind-blower to a lot of people and really got the film a lot of attention. I also have to say that the movie fully explained the idea and the story was very well told. Not to mention the pacing of the film was great in my opinion. I never felt like it dragged and I was always into the plot wanting more.

The visual look of the film, including camera quality, sets and special effects were phenomenal. Nolan did an excellent job of directing the actors and I believe they all acted extremely well. Also, the character development of Inception was very good. You definitely felt for the main characters and felt like you were involved in the action of the film.

And you can never have a movie without a cool twist. The surprise ending of Inception totally took me off guard. The entire movie set you up to believe that Cobb was in the real world and Mal had killed herself for no reason. But the ending totally turns the tables, and leaves it up to you to decide if Cobb was right or if he was wrong. I personally believe that Cobb was right and still in the real world. Or else it would of defeated the purpose of the movie, being that Cobb had to complete a very dangerous task in order to return to his children which was the only thing he really cared for in life.

Overall I think the movie was very well done and Nolan did a phenomenal job with the film. I can't wait to see what Nolan has in store for use movie lovers in the future and I truly believe that Nolan is a master of his art.
